One Million Years B.C. is a 1966 prehistoric adventure film directed by Don Chaffey, known for its stop-motion effects by Ray Harryhausen and Raquel Welch’s iconic role as Loana. The story follows Tumak, a member of the savage Rock Tribe who is exiled and taken in by the more peaceful Shell Tribe. As he and Loana form a bond, they must survive in a violent, volcanic world filled with dinosaurs, giant reptiles, and constant danger. The film blends action, fantasy, and visual spectacle, standing out for its creature effects and dramatic landscapes rather than historical accuracy.
